The Uzbekistan Textile Expo took place from May 28–30, 2024, at the UZEXPOCENTRE NEC in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. This year's event showcased 250 exhibitors from the Republic of Belarus, China, India, Russia, Tajikistan, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan. The exhibition attracted 8,464 visitors from 38 countries and featured an extensive business events, including B2B meetings and a special buyer programme.
Background
UzTextileExpo is a unique international specialised exhibition of the textile and fashion industry in Uzbekistan, actively supported by relevant government agencies and industrial associations. The exhibition showcases the achievements of the textile and fashion industry from leading manufacturers worldwide, spanning the entire production chain from yarn to ready-made clothing. The event promotes the development of trade and economic relations with Uzbekistan's textile and garment industries, which rank second in the country's industrial production volume. It also helps establish partnerships for selling textile products, clothing, underwear, shoes, and accessories in Central Asia's largest consumer market.
Highlights
The exhibition includes a Special Buyer Programme for professional visitors and wholesale buyers, creating favorable conditions for efficient and comfortable business interactions. Over the 13 years of the programme, more than 1,500 major buyers from the Republic of Belarus, China, Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkiye, Ukraine, and other countries have participated. Notable attendees include leading Russian companies such as hypermarkets Auchan (Moscow) and Magnet (Krasnodar), Gloria Jeans, Magnum cash & carry, CARRERA jeans, OGGI, and many others.

Industry Insights
Uzbekistan’s textile industry remains robust. Between January and September 2023, exports of textiles, such as yarn, reached $945 million, while exports of clothing and other finished textile products amounted to $967.5 million. The industry's export value is expected to soar to $5 billion by the end of 2024.
