Almaty, 21 October 2026 – Plastex Qazaqstan 2026 opens today at the Atakent International Exhibition Centre, bringing together manufacturers, technology suppliers and industry professionals for three days of business networking and knowledge exchange. Running until 23 October, the Kazakhstan International Exhibition of Plastics and Chemical Industry provides a platform to explore materials, equipment and technologies supporting the sector’s development.

This year’s exhibition features companies from Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Russia and Uzbekistan, connecting domestic businesses with international expertise. Participants are presenting polymer and chemical raw materials, additives and processing solutions, offering visitors opportunities to meet suppliers, discuss production requirements and develop commercial partnerships.

The exhibition spans the production chain, from polymer processing equipment and automation to moulds, tooling, finished components and recycling technologies. Its broad scope enables professionals to explore approaches to improving manufacturing efficiency, expanding product capabilities and making better use of resources.

A central focus of the business programme is the development of Kazakhstan’s polymer industry and the transition towards higher-value manufacturing. Today’s opening plenary session addresses the connections between petrochemical production and downstream processing, including raw material availability, investment, government support and demand for locally manufactured products.

Further discussions examine polymer applications in infrastructure, opportunities for local processing, automotive components and medical device production. Plastics recycling also features on the agenda, with attention to the economic conditions needed to support the collection and use of secondary raw materials.

By combining a specialised technology showcase with dialogue between business, government and industry experts, Plastex Qazaqstan creates opportunities to exchange practical knowledge and strengthen cooperation across Kazakhstan and Central Asia.

The exhibition is organised by Iteca in partnership with ICA Events. The organisers extend their sincere thanks to the supporting organisations, industry associations, exhibitors, speakers and visitors contributing to this year’s edition, and wish all participants a productive and rewarding event.

Plastex Qazaqstan 2026 takes place from 21 to 23 October at the Atakent International Exhibition Centre, Almaty.
