From 28 to 30 April 2026, Kazakhstan hosted a major series of industry events comprising the 14th Kazakhstan International Occupational Safety and Health Conference and Exhibition – KIOSH 2026, the 5th Kazakhstan International Exhibition “Non-Destructive Testing and Technical Diagnostics” – NDT Qazaqstan 2026, and the Kazakhstan Textile Industry Forum – KTIF 2026. 

 

Together, the events created an important cross-industry platform that reflected strong engagement from the professional community and sustained interest among businesses, government institutions and international organisations. 

 

KIOSH 2026 brought together 92 companies from nine countries: Azerbaijan, Belgium, China, India, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Russia, Türkiye and Uzbekistan. Of these, 48 were Kazakhstani companies and 44 were international exhibitors, demonstrating the event’s strong international reach. Eighteen companies participated for the first time, highlighting the platform’s continued ability to attract new industry players. 

 

Across the three days, the exhibitions welcomed 3,819 professional visitors from a wide range of market segments. 

 

Practical Knowledge and Industry Expertise at KIOSH 2026 

 

The KIOSH 2026 business programme featured seminars, expert sessions, workshops and practical masterclasses. Contributors included the Republican Research Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, ENERGOCONTRACT Group of Companies, Modern Monitoring Technologies LLP, INFORM GLOBAL PROJECT LLP and PO Global Spetsodezhda LLP. 

 

A first-aid masterclass conducted by 1aid.kz focused on responding to fainting and cardiac arrest, reinforcing the importance of practical emergency-response skills within an effective occupational safety system. 

 

The KIOSH Conference brought together 62 speakers from eight countries: Australia, Azerbaijan, Hungary, India, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Russia and Switzerland. Its programme comprised 11 specialised sessions and an interactive business game addressing key developments in occupational and industrial safety. 

 

The first day centred on emerging trends in workplace and industrial safety. The strategic plenary session, “Artificial Intelligence: How Kazakhstan Is Shaping a New Safety Model”, examined the growing role of technology in protecting workers and strengthening risk-management systems. 

 

Additional sessions addressed digital solutions for occupational risk management, artificial intelligence and predictive analytics, social insurance amid changing labour models, and new regulatory requirements in industrial medicine. An expert session led by the International Labour Organization explored global workplace-safety trends, digitalisation and social dialogue. 

 

The second day focused on corporate safety culture, critical-risk management and the prevention of major incidents. The programme included the panel sessions “Focus on Industrial Safety as Part of Corporate Culture” and “HSE Leadership: How to Manage Critical Risks and Prevent Major Incidents”, as well as practical training on confined-space operations. 

 

KIOSH 2026 concluded with a foresight session and the Safety Games occupational safety tournament, which allowed participants to consolidate their knowledge through an interactive quiz format. 

 

Strong Institutional and Industry Support 

 

The Government Partner of KIOSH 2026 was the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan, while the Republican Research Institute for Occupational Safety and Health served as Strategic Partner. 

 

The Gold Partners were Eurasian Group LLP, Global-Special Clothing and Global Safety. Kazzinc LLP and KazMinerals Group participated as Silver Partners, while UCO, Technoavia and IOSS were Bronze Partners. 

 

Official support was provided by the Industrial Safety Committee of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs, the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Association of Mining and Metallurgical Enterprises, KAZENERGY, the National Confederation of Employers PARYZ and several international and professional organisations, including IOSH, ORP, PEROSH, QazTextileIndustry and Petro Mining. 

 

NDT Qazaqstan Highlights the Importance of Industrial Diagnostics 

 

Held alongside KIOSH, NDT Qazaqstan 2026 featured eight companies from Kazakhstan, China and Russia. 

 

Its business programme included the plenary session “Non-Destructive Testing as the Basis of Industrial Safety and Sustainable Development in Kazakhstan” and the specialised session “Diagnostics and Monitoring of Oil and Gas Facilities: Corrosion, Hydrogen Risks and Reliability”. 

 

The discussions highlighted the essential role of non-destructive testing, monitoring and diagnostic technologies in maintaining infrastructure reliability, preventing industrial incidents and supporting sustainable development. 

 

KTIF 2026 Supports the Development of Kazakhstan’s Textile Industry 

 

The Kazakhstan Textile Industry Forum – KTIF 2026 – was held on 28 April with the official support of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 

 

The plenary session, “Measures of State Support for the Textile Industry in Kazakhstan”, examined mechanisms for stimulating domestic production and strengthening the sector’s competitiveness. Participants included representatives of Kazakhstan Fashion Week, AGF Group, Retail Partners, QazTrade, the Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan, Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund and the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs. 

 

A trilateral dialogue entitled “Personnel for the Textile Industry” brought together representatives of QazIndustry, KazUTB, ATU and other organisations to discuss specialist training, skills development and the future of human capital within the textile sector. 

 

A Unified Platform for Sustainable Industry Development 

 

The results of KIOSH, NDT Qazaqstan and KTIF 2026 demonstrated the value of connecting occupational safety, industrial diagnostics and textile-sector development within a unified professional platform. 

 

The international composition of participants, extensive business programme and high level of expert involvement reinforced the events’ importance as effective instruments for exchanging knowledge, introducing innovation and building sustainable professional relationships at both national and international levels.
