Aquatherm is a globally recognised brand owned by the Austrian company Wiener Messe und Congress GmbH (formerly Reed Messe Wien).
For over 14 years, Aquatherm Tashkent has been recognised as the leading industry event for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and water supply in Central Asia. We spoke with Ms. Alla Dzyurich, Project Director, about the origins of the brand, the reasons behind the market’s trust in Iteca Exhibitions, and the key challenges facing the industry.
The Aquatherm brand is well known among industry professionals. In your view, what lies behind its strong recognition in Uzbekistan?
The answer is both simple and complex: a clear focus on specialisation and a results-driven approach. Aquatherm Tashkent has been more than just an exhibition; it is a strong international brand associated with innovation and reliability.
Each section of the exhibition forms part of a single, coherent ecosystem, and we are careful to preserve the integrity of this concept. Our audience understands that any company aiming to establish a presence in Uzbekistan’s climate market needs to be represented exactly at Aquatherm.
The construction sector in Uzbekistan is booming. What key trends are you seeing as an organiser?
You are absolutely right – the pace of growth is striking. Large-scale housing developments, modernisation of industrial sites, and rise of high-end business centres are all driving demand for a new generation of equipment. As the market expands, demand is rising just as rapidly.
There is also a clear shift towards energy efficiency and sustainability. At the exhibition, we are seeing particularly strong interest in automated building management systems and technologies that enhance comfort. The Uzbek market is increasingly receptive to premium, high-tech solutions, and our role is to provide a platform where these innovations can be properly showcased.
Aquatherm Tashkent is widely trusted, not least because of confidence in the organiser, Iteca Exhibitions. How have you maintained such high standards over 30 years?
The trust is the most valuable asset in the exhibition industry, and it is something we have built up over decades. Iteca Exhibitions delivers its events in line with the rigorous international standards of the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI).
This reputation is reinforced by the strength of our wider portfolio, which includes another flagship national brand – UzBuild, Uzbekistan’s flagship exhibition for construction and interiors. UzBuild consistently delivers record levels of exhibition space and exhibitor participation, underlining its status as a key national event.
For exhibitors, our events are more than just a platform, they have been a proven business tool. We go beyond providing a service by ensuring a highly targeted professional audience. Our exhibitions attract architects, chief engineers, designers, major developers, and representatives of line ministries and agencies. Companies place their trust in us because we deliver access to the right decision-makers.
How do you see the future of Aquatherm Tashkent in the coming years?
Aquatherm will continue to stand for leadership in the industry, while the synergy with Iteca Exhibitions’ experience ensures that the platform will play an active role in shaping the development of the engineering sector across the country. Today, Uzbekistan’s construction market is valued at over $200 billion, and Aquatherm Tashkent remains to be at the forefront of this growth.
